This is our most common compliment. POINTS! Low Glycemic Chocolate Candies uses real unsweetened dark chocolate as the primary ingredient. Customers consistently say it tastes like "the real thing" and many compare it favorably to the candy-coated chocolates they grew up with, just without loads of sugar and artificial ingredients.
Will this spike my blood sugar?
These POINTS! Low Glycemic Chocolate Candies are formulated to be low glycemic, with 2-4g net carbs, high fiber, and very low sugar. Individual responses to food vary, so we always recommend monitoring as you would with any new food. Many of our customers are diabetic & report that POINTS! fits well into their daily routine.
Will the sweeteners cause stomach issues?
Our sweeteners were designed specifically to provide low glycemic sweetness without this issue...unlike xylitol or maltitol, which are most commonly linked to GI discomfort.
What sweeteners do you use?
Currently in our Low Glycemic Dark Chocolate Candies we use Stevia Extract & a Prebiotic Fiber that adds a little sweetness, both are naturally derived. (in our peanut candies we also use erythritol)
We do NOT use aspartame, sucralose, maltitol, or any artificial sweeteners.
Erythritol in our peanut candies is a sugar alcohol that doesn't raise blood sugar for most people and has zero calories. It's also less likely to cause digestive discomfort than maltitol.
Stevia comes from the stevia plant and has been used for food & medicinal purposes for hundreds of years. We use it in very tiny amounts.
Is this keto-friendly?
Yes. With 2-4g net carbs per pack, POINTS! Low Glycemic Chocolate Candies fits comfortably within most ketogenic diets.
